inContact Blog Contributor Editorial Guidelines

We are very happy to welcome contributors to the inContact blog! Please adhere to the following editorial guidelines as you craft your entries:

Non-commercial – The blog is designed to support conversation around call center trends, best practices and thought leadership. Please maintain an editorial tone and make all posts non-commercial. Any commercial “plugs” will be removed by the editorial team.

Author Credit – You can include a short “about the author” paragraph at the end of each blog post. You can include your company name, email, website, and a short bio in the credit paragraph.

Content – We recommend the following as a guide:

  • 300-600 words per post
  • The first sentence needs to grab reader's attention
  • Use short paragraphs
  • Break up information with bullets and lists where appropriate

Photography – The inContact editorial team adds a rights-managed photo to each post.

  • If you would like to include your own photo with your post, please include a written release that you own all rights to the photography
  • If you there is a particular photo that you think would best compliment a post, please include a description of it when you submit your content and we will search for an image that meets your request.

Tagging – please recommend the tags that will best complement your post.

Once submitted, all blog entries are subject to review by the inContact editorial team. Unless an entry requires complete recreation, the copy is not sent back to the author for review prior to publication.
